Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and innovative Director of Training and Development to lead our organization's efforts in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. This role will be pivotal in designing and implementing comprehensive training programs that align with our company goals and enhance employee engagement and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking training and development strategy that supports organizational objectives and addresses skill gaps across departments.
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring they are impactful, engaging, and tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key competencies and develop targeted learning pathways for career advancement.
- Utilize data and feedback to continuously improve training processes, measuring the effectiveness of programs through performance metrics and employee feedback.
- Manage a team of training professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to foster their growth and development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating workshops, seminars, and other learning opportunities that encourage knowledge sharing.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in training and development to ensure our programs remain competitive and relevant.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs that drive employee performance and engagement.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Preferred:
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably within the tech or finance sector.
- Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, ATD) is highly desirable.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
- Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and measure program effectiveness.
- Familiarity with Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) and emerging training technologies.
