Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead Timekeeper to oversee and manage our timekeeping functions. This pivotal role ensures accurate recording of employee hours, compliance with labor regulations, and the seamless integration of timekeeping processes with payroll. You will lead a dedicated team while collaborating across departments to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the timekeeping process, ensuring accurate recording of employee attendance and hours worked
- Lead and mentor a team of timekeepers, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
- Implement and maintain timekeeping systems and tools, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws
- Collaborate with payroll and HR to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee compensation
- Analyze timekeeping data to identify trends and discrepancies, proactively addressing issues as they arise
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on timekeeping procedures and systems
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and timekeeping regulations
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience with timekeeping software and payroll systems
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems such as ADP, Kronos, or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools
- Experience with integration of timekeeping systems with ERP or payroll systems
