Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Supply Planning to lead our supply chain initiatives and drive operational excellence. In this pivotal role, you will define the vision and strategy for supply planning, ensuring alignment with our overall business goals. You will leverage your expertise to optimize inventory management, forecast demand, and enhance our supply chain processes, ultimately contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply planning strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances operational efficiency
- Lead a cross-functional team to establish best practices in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain planning
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in planning processes
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of supply plans
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, increasing service levels, and minimizing waste in the supply chain
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the supply planning function
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on supply planning and inventory management
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving operational improvements in a complex supply chain environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Expertise in demand forecasting, supply chain modeling, and inventory optimization techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a high-growth or fast-paced industry
- Familiarity with supply chain software tools and technologies, such as ERP systems
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of supply chain principles and best practices
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning software
