Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief of Speech and Hearing Therapy to lead our multidisciplinary team in delivering innovative patient care solutions. In this influential role, you will set the strategic direction for our speech and hearing therapy services, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. You will also drive initiatives to enhance service delivery, expand therapy programs, and foster collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy for speech and hearing therapy services that aligns with the organization's mission and goals
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of speech-language pathologists and audiologists, fostering a culture of professional development and clinical excellence
- Oversee the assessment and treatment of patients, ensuring evidence-based practices are implemented across all therapy programs
- Collaborate with other clinical leaders to integrate speech and hearing services within the broader healthcare framework
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Engage with patients, families, and stakeholders to gather feedback and enhance service delivery
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and staffing to optimize therapy services and patient outcomes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Audiologist in accordance with state regulations
- 10+ years of clinical experience in speech and hearing therapy, including progressive leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of current trends, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements in the field
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive clinical excellence
Preferred:
- Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Experience in program development and implementation
- Track record of successful quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction outcomes
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and therapy management software
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy delivery methods
- Ability to analyze clinical data to inform decision-making and improve service delivery
