Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Junior Hearing Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will assist in providing high-quality therapeutic services to individuals with hearing impairments. You will work under the guidance of experienced therapists to develop treatment plans, conduct assessments, and implement interventions aimed at improving clients' auditory function and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting initial assessments to evaluate clients' hearing abilities and communication needs.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized therapy plans in collaboration with senior therapists.
- Conduct therapy sessions focused on auditory training, speech development, and communication strategies.
- Monitor clients' progress and provide detailed documentation of sessions and outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of hearing disorders and therapeutic methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with hearing impairments through internships or volunteer work.
- Familiarity with assistive listening devices and technology.
- Active participation in relevant professional organizations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with audiometric testing equipment and software.
