Role Overview
As the Director of Speech Therapy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our speech therapy services and leading a team of skilled professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes. Your expertise will drive innovative therapy approaches and ensure the delivery of high-quality care across all platforms, enhancing the lives of individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based speech therapy programs, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of the speech therapy team, fostering a culture of continuous professional development and excellence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive patient care plans and coordinate therapy services effectively.
- Conduct regular assessments of clinical outcomes and service delivery metrics to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients, and families, to enhance service visibility and accessibility.
- Stay current with advancements in speech therapy research and technology, integrating new methodologies into practice as appropriate.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in speech therapy, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Current state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements.
Preferred:
- Experience in teletherapy or remote service delivery models.
- Board certification in a specialty area of speech-language pathology.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and therapy documentation software.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in assessment tools and therapeutic interventions for speech and language disorders.
- Familiarity with telehealth technologies and platforms for remote therapy delivery.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to track outcomes and program effectiveness.
