Role Overview
We are looking for a visionary Director of Speech Therapy to lead our dynamic team of speech-language pathologists. In this fully remote role, you will champion innovative therapeutic approaches, drive program development, and ensure the highest standards of patient care, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the speech therapy department, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols that meet the diverse needs of our patient population
- Mentor and supervise speech-language pathologists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized treatment plans and assess patient progress
- Evaluate and enhance existing programs, utilizing data-driven insights to inform programmatic improvements
- Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of speech and language disorders
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- 5+ years of clinical experience in speech therapy, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in various speech and language disorders, including but not limited to articulation, fluency, and voice disorders
- Strong understanding of current research and best practices in speech therapy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients and team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in a relevant specialty area (e.g., AAC, fluency, etc.)
- Experience with teletherapy and digital health solutions
- Proven track record of program development and implementation
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
