Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Rotating Equipment Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and maintenance of rotating equipment systems. This role is key in ensuring operational excellence through strategic oversight of engineering projects, guiding the technical direction, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team in the design, analysis, and optimization of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, and turbines
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
- Establish engineering standards and best practices for rotating equipment to enhance reliability and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering solutions into operational practices
- Conduct performance analysis and root cause failure analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and design calculations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in rotating equipment engineering, with a strong focus on pumps, compressors, or turbines
- Proven track record of managing engineering teams and projects successfully
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices for rotating equipment
- Strong analytical skills and experience with reliability engineering methodologies
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and strategies
- Familiarity with CAD and simulation software for equipment design
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in rotating equipment design and analysis tools
- Proficient in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and condition monitoring techniques
- Experience with project management software and engineering simulation tools
