Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respite Care Coordinator to join our team. In this fully remote position, you will play a critical role in ensuring that families receive the necessary support and resources to care for their loved ones. You will coordinate respite services, work closely with caregivers, and facilitate communication between families and service providers to promote high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assess individual and family needs to develop tailored respite care plans that address specific challenges and requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule respite care services, ensuring appropriate staffing and resources are in place to meet client needs.
- Act as a liaison between families, caregivers, and service providers, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to families, addressing concerns and facilitating access to additional resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Continuously evaluate service delivery and client satisfaction, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, nursing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a caregiving, case management, or respite care role.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by families and caregivers in a respite care context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or mental health conditions.
- Knowledge of local resources and services available to families and caregivers.
- Certification in respite care or related fields.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using case management software and other relevant tools for tracking services and client information.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools to engage with clients and providers effectively.
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Empathetic and compassionate approach to supporting families and caregivers in their unique situations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
