Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Resort Operations to lead our operations team in delivering exceptional guest experiences while maximizing operational efficiency. This role will oversee all aspects of resort operations, including guest services, facility management, and staff leadership, ensuring that our unique brand identity is maintained across all touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the overarching goals of the resort, driving both guest satisfaction and profitability
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Oversee guest services, ensuring that all interactions reflect our commitment to quality and satisfaction
- Manage budgetary planning and financial performance, analyzing key performance indicators to inform operational improvements
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other departments to enhance guest experiences and drive revenue growth
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all resort operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in resort or hospitality operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute operational strategies that enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and analyzing financial metrics
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
Preferred:
- Experience in a luxury resort environment or high-end hospitality sector
- Advanced degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field
- Proficiency in operational management software and technologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in resort management systems and property management software
- Familiarity with revenue management and forecasting tools
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance standards
