Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Hotel Manager to join our leadership team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, optimizing hotel operations, and supporting the Hotel Manager in achieving strategic business goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring adherence to established standards of service, cleanliness, and safety
- Support the Hotel Manager in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing coaching and training to cultivate a high-performing team
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring resolutions that uphold guest satisfaction
- Assist in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure optimal staffing levels and operational coverage
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in hotel management or a related field
- Strong understanding of hotel operations and customer service principles
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
- Experience with hotel management software and property management systems
- Familiarity with revenue management practices
- Multilingual proficiency is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Maestro)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of online booking platforms and customer relationship management tools
