Role Overview

- Monitor patients' responses to treatment, reporting any concerns to the supervising radiation therapist promptly.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Completed an accredited radiation therapy program or equivalent.
- Eligibility for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
- Basic understanding of radiation safety principles and patient care practices.
Preferred:
- Internship or clinical experience in a radiation oncology setting.
- Familiarity with treatment planning systems and radiation therapy equipment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and imaging devices.
- Basic knowledge of treatment planning software and radiation dose calculation methodologies.
- Understanding of patient positioning techniques and immobilization devices.
