Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Radiation Therapy Technologist to join our dedicated team, where you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and execution of treatment plans while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Assist in operating radiation therapy equipment and administering treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
- Support the setup of treatment machines, including linear accelerators and imaging devices.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor reactions to treatment and report any concerns to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior technologists and healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and safety protocols to uphold the highest standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- Current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
- Understanding of radiation safety principles and patient care standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior clinical experience in a radiation therapy setting, including internships or volunteer work.
