Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreational Activities Manager to lead and enhance our recreational programs in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a variety of engaging and community-focused recreational activities that promote wellness, teamwork, and personal growth among our participants.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive recreational activities program that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging virtual recreational experiences that foster community and connection.
- Manage the logistics of recreational events, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and activities through participant feedback and data analysis, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Establish partnerships with local organizations and community resources to enhance program offerings.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers and staff involved in recreational activities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in program development and management within recreational or community services.
- Strong understanding of best practices in recreational program design and delivery.
- Proven ability to engage diverse groups and create inclusive environments.
Preferred:
- Experience with remote team management and virtual engagement strategies.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, or similar safety training.
- Knowledge of digital tools and platforms for virtual programming.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) to facilitate online activities.
- Experience with project management software to plan and execute programs effectively.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools to assess program impact and participant satisfaction.
