Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Radiology to lead our radiology department in delivering high-quality imaging services. In this role, you will oversee clinical operations, implement advanced imaging technologies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, all while fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient care and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to the radiology department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and patient-centered care.
- Oversee daily operations of the radiology services, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and interventional radiology.
- Implement and optimize advanced imaging technologies and protocols to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop best practices in radiological assessments and imaging protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, maintaining a culture of safety and quality.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and professional development of radiology staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Radiology.
- 10+ years of experience in radiology with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of implementing advanced imaging technologies and improving departmental performance.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance in radiology.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred:
- Experience in a fully remote leadership role in radiology.
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty of radiology.
- Demonstrated success in managing large teams and complex projects.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in various imaging modalities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and interventional radiology.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging software and reporting systems.
- Understanding of data analytics to interpret departmental performance metrics.
