Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Speech Clinician to join our team, where you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. This position is integral to enhancing the communicative abilities of our clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative therapies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' speech and language abilities, using standardized tests and informal measures to evaluate communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client, incorporating goals that are measurable and achievable.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to foster improvement in speech, language, and cognitive-communication skills.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and documentation of client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support clients' communication needs and facilitate a holistic approach to care.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current state licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- 2+ years of experience in clinical practice, with a focus on speech and language disorders.
Preferred:
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults across various settings.
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery.
- Specialization in specific areas such as fluency disorders, voice therapy, or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of speech and language assessment tools and intervention software.
- Experience with telehealth technology and digital communication tools.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.
