Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Speech and Language Program Coordinator to lead and enhance our comprehensive speech and language services. This role will be pivotal in developing effective programs that promote communication skills and language development while ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate speech and language programs tailored to the needs of our diverse client population.
- Coordinate assessments and create individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff and caregivers to enhance their understanding of speech and language development.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Advocate for resources and support for clients with speech and language challenges within the organization and the broader community.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current state licensure and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- 3+ years of clinical experience in speech and language therapy, with demonstrated expertise in program coordination.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and evidence-based practices in speech and language development.
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a speech and language program.
- Familiarity with telepractice and remote service delivery models.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management tools.
- Experience using assessment software and tools for speech and language evaluation.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and communication devices for individuals with speech and language impairments.
