Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent (Ironwork) to oversee our ironwork projects from inception to completion. This fully remote position requires an individual who can effectively manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure that all projects are executed to the highest standards of safety and quality. You will play a critical role in driving project success while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all phases of ironwork projects, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and project specifications.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to troubleshoot issues and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment by mentoring and training team members, promoting best practices, and encouraging professional development.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports and budget assessments.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in ironwork construction management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of ironwork techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Certifications in project management or safety (e.g., PMP, OSHA).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to ironwork construction.
