Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Superintendent specializing in Ironwork to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of ironwork projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your leadership will be essential in driving quality craftsmanship and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ironwork projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate and schedule tasks among various subcontractors and team members, optimizing workflow and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, timelines, and reports, providing updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Resolve any on-site issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork across all project sites.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, specifically in ironwork or structural steel projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with CAD software and structural design principles.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of ironwork construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
