Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Position Description Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this fully remote role, you will play a crucial part in creating, updating, and maintaining accurate position descriptions that align with our organizational goals and support our talent acquisition strategy. Your expertise in job analysis and understanding of industry standards will be essential in ensuring our job descriptions attract top talent and accurately reflect the duties and responsibilities of each role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough job analysis to gather and verify information regarding job duties, responsibilities, and qualifications for various roles across the organization.
- Create and maintain comprehensive position descriptions that clearly articulate the expectations and requirements of each role.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR business partners to ensure alignment on job descriptions and organizational needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in job description standards and compliance, ensuring our descriptions meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate training sessions for hiring managers on the importance of accurate job descriptions and how to effectively utilize them in the recruitment process.
- Monitor and analyze job description effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements based on feedback and metrics.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or a similar role focused on job analysis and description development.
- Strong understanding of job classification systems and industry standards for position descriptions.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in using HRIS and applicant tracking systems to manage job descriptions and related data.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with job evaluation methodologies and compensation analysis.
- Familiarity with legal compliance related to job descriptions and employment practices.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in HRIS platforms and applicant tracking systems (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse).
- Experience with job analysis tools and software.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.

- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in job descriptions.
