Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Position Description Director to lead the development and execution of comprehensive job descriptions across our organization. In this role, you will ensure that our roles are clearly defined and aligned with our company mission, values, and goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create impactful job descriptions that attract top-tier talent and promote organizational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and continuous improvement of job descriptions, ensuring clarity, inclusivity, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand role requirements and translate them into compelling and accurate job descriptions.
- Establish best practices for job description development and maintenance, ensuring consistency across the organization.
- Monitor industry trends and benchmarks to ensure our job descriptions remain competitive and attractive to prospective candidates.
- Provide training and support to HR and hiring managers on effective job description writing and the importance of inclusive language.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of job descriptions in attracting qualified candidates and make adjustments as needed.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or organizational development with a focus on job description management.
- Proven track record of developing clear, compelling, and inclusive job descriptions.
- Strong understanding of labor market trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within an HR function.
- Familiarity with job evaluation methodologies and compensation frameworks.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technology.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/ATS platforms.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools to evaluate the effectiveness of job descriptions.
- Understanding of SEO principles as they relate to job postings.
