Role Overview

Responsibilities

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant industrial experience.
- Proven track record of leading successful polymerization projects from conception to commercialization.
- Deep understanding of polymerization mechanisms, kinetics, and thermodynamics.
- Experience with process scale-up and optimization in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical process control and experimental design methodologies.
Preferred:
- Experience in sustainable polymer development and green chemistry practices.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software for modeling and simulation of polymer processes.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals showcasing contributions to polymer science.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in various polymerization techniques including bulk, solution, emulsion, and suspension polymerization.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL) and data analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as GPC, NMR, FTIR, and DSC for polymer characterization.
