Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Process Engineering to lead our efforts in optimizing and innovating our manufacturing processes. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive experience in process engineering to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our production facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of process engineering strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance productivity across all manufacturing sites.
- Oversee the analysis of current manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on process improvements and the integration of new technologies and systems.
- Manage a team of engineers, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of process improvements and ensure operational excellence.
- Drive the adoption of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies throughout the organization.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing engineering teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation, robotics, and data analytics.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a complex, multi-site manufacturing organization.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in process design, optimization, and control methodologies.
- Proficient in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and quality management systems (QMS).
