Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Perfusionist to lead our perfusion team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Perfusion or a related field with certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
- 8+ years of experience in clinical perfusion, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to handle complex clinical situations and make critical decisions under pressure
Preferred:
- Experience in a high-volume academic medical center or specialized cardiac program
- Strong background in clinical research and participation in quality improvement projects
- Active involvement in professional organizations related to perfusion
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in advanced extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist device (VAD) management
- Thorough knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and blood gas analysis
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and perfusion data management systems
