Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Care Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients, including vital signs and other relevant medical data
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing basic procedures, and supporting daily living activities
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to implement care plans and respond to patient needs
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to support patient monitoring and treatment
- Educate patients and families about medical procedures and care processes to enhance understanding and compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Critical Care Technician program
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in critical care or emergency services
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and critical care procedures
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital or intensive care unit (ICU) setting
- Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with monitoring equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps
- Ability to interpret medical data and assist in the development of patient care plans
- Proficient in using healthcare software and data management tools
