Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Cardiac Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting non-invasive cardiac tests including electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and stress tests under the supervision of senior technicians and cardiologists
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the processes and answering any questions to ensure patient comfort
- Monitor patient vitals and reactions during testing, documenting any abnormalities for further review
- Maintain and calibrate cardiac equipment to ensure accurate readings and compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with medical staff to interpret test results and contribute to patient care plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist in scheduling follow-up appointments
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree in a relevant field such as cardiovascular technology, biomedical equipment, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred:
- Experience in a clinical setting, particularly within cardiology
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with cardiac diagnostic equipment and software
- Basic knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting
