Responsibilities

- Mentor and train junior pedorthists and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to enhance patient care and ensure the effectiveness of orthotic devices.
- Stay current with advancements in pedorthics and related technologies, integrating new methodologies into practice.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Certification as a Pedorthist (C.Ped) from a recognized certifying body.
- 5+ years of experience in pedorthics or related field, with a demonstrated track record of successful patient outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, biomechanics, and the principles of gait analysis.
- Proficient in the use of pedorthic tools and technologies, including 3D scanning and CAD software.
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a clinical setting.
- Advanced certifications or specialized training in custom orthotic design or related technologies.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in custom orthotic fabrication techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using CAD software for orthotic design and modifications.
- Experience with 3D printing technologies and their application in pedorthics.
