Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Orthotics/Prosthetics to lead our clinical and operational teams in delivering innovative prosthetic and orthotic solutions. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to enhance patient care, drive program development, and oversee the integration of advanced technologies in our practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that promote high-quality orthotic and prosthetic care across multiple clinics
- Lead interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes through collaborative treatment planning and execution
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in the orthotics/prosthetics field
- Oversee clinical operations, including staff training, performance evaluations, and resource allocation
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new technologies
- Engage with stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, to advocate for patient needs and program expansion
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related field
- 10+ years of experience in the orthotics/prosthetics industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Board certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC or BOC)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage clinical teams effectively
- Strong understanding of clinical practices, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements
Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software
- Advanced knowledge in the latest technologies and trends in orthotics/prosthetics
- Proven track record of successful program development and implementation
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep familiarity with orthotic and prosthetic devices, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience in data analysis and performance metrics to drive clinical outcomes
- Proficient in using CAD/CAM software and other technological tools in orthotics/prosthetics
