Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Chief Orthotist to lead our innovative team in shaping the future of orthotic care. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evaluation of custom orthotic devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and develop tailored orthotic solutions.
- Establish protocols for quality assurance and improvement, ensuring all orthotic products meet regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and train junior orthotists and support staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Drive research initiatives to explore new technologies and materials in orthotic design and manufacturing.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in orthotic practice, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of orthotic design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement clinical protocols and quality assurance measures.
Preferred:
- Board certification as an Orthotist (CPO) by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics.
- Experience with telehealth technologies and remote patient management.
- Proven track record of leading successful research projects or clinical trials in orthotics.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in CAD software for orthotic design and modeling.
- Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and materials used in orthotic manufacturing.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and patient management software.
