Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in orthotics fitting or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in orthotics fitting or a related healthcare field.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and biomechanics as they relate to orthotic treatment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to patients in an accessible manner.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
- Knowledge of various orthotic devices and their applications.
- Certification as a Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF) is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in the use of orthotic fitting tools and technologies.
- Ability to interpret physician prescriptions and translate them into practical fitting solutions.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and fittings.
