Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Payroll Technician to join our dynamic payroll team. In this role, you will assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and contributing to a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring all hours, deductions, and adjustments are accurately recorded.
- Support the preparation of payroll reports and audits, identifying any discrepancies and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring all changes are documented and up to date.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing exceptional customer service and guidance.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data management and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the implementation of payroll-related software updates and enhancements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in payroll processing or related field.
- Basic understanding of payroll regulations and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Preferred:
- Experience with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Familiarity with HR processes and employee benefits.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data entry and management of payroll systems.
- Ability to generate reports and analyze payroll-related data.
- Familiarity with labor laws and compliance requirements.
