Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parole Manager to oversee the parole supervision process within our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of parole officers, ensuring that parolees receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into society while maintaining public safety and compliance with legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of parole officers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement effective supervision strategies and rehabilitation programs for parolees
- Coordinate with community resources and agencies to facilitate support services for parolees
- Monitor compliance with parole conditions and conduct regular assessments of parolee progress
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, including updates on parolee status and program outcomes
- Collaborate with law enforcement, judicial officials, and social service agencies to enhance parolee support efforts
- Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in all parole management practices
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in parole, probation, or corrections management
- Strong understanding of criminal justice regulations and rehabilitation practices
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience working with diverse populations and community resources
- Certification in a relevant professional organization (e.g., American Probation and Parole Association)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in case management software and data tracking systems
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools and evidence-based practices in parole management
- Ability to leverage technology for reporting and communication purposes
