Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parole Manager to oversee the supervision of parolees, ensuring compliance with parole conditions and facilitating their successful reintegration into society. This role is critical in promoting public safety while providing support and resources to parolees as they navigate the challenges of reentry.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of parole officers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure effective case management and adherence to parole policies.
- Coordinate and implement parole supervision strategies, including compliance monitoring, risk assessment, and intervention techniques.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers to assist parolees in accessing essential support services, such as housing, employment, and counseling.
- Monitor parolee compliance with conditions of parole, conducting regular check-ins, home visits, and progress assessments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of parolee progress and violations, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, court systems, and other stakeholders to address parolee concerns and enhance community safety.
- Stay informed about changes in parole regulations, best practices, and trends in criminal justice to inform policy development and program improvements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in parole supervision, case management, or criminal justice.
- Strong understanding of parole laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in a leadership or managerial role within the criminal justice system.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in parole supervision and rehabilitation.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in case management software and data tracking systems.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making and policy development.
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools and methodologies.
