Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Facilitate counseling sessions and engage juveniles in rehabilitative activities to promote personal development
- Prepare reports and documentation for court hearings, providing detailed insights into the juvenile's progress and behavior
- Advocate for the needs and rights of juveniles, ensuring they receive fair treatment within the justice system
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience working with at-risk youth or in a related field
- Strong understanding of juvenile justice policies and the ability to navigate legal systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with juveniles and their families
Preferred:
- Experience in case management and knowledge of community resources for youth
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Certification as a Juvenile Probation Officer or related professional credential

- Proficiency in case management software and electronic record-keeping systems
