Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Packaging Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team focused on packaging machinery and equipment. In this role, you will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our packaging operations while driving continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules for packaging machinery, minimizing downtime and maximizing production efficiency
- Conduct root cause analyses on equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize packaging processes and equipment performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage inventory of spare parts and tools
- Lead training programs to enhance the technical skills of the maintenance team
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or packaging environment
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising maintenance teams
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance strategies and technologies
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Technical certifications in maintenance management or related fields
- Knowledge of packaging machinery such as fillers, sealers, and labeling systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking and managing maintenance activities
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing automated packaging lines
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
