Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Orthopaedic Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in the evaluation and management of patients in the orthopaedic clinic and hospital settings
- Conduct patient histories and physical examinations, documenting findings accurately
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision
- Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, rehabilitation exercises, and follow-up care
- Participate in surgical procedures, assisting the surgeon as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred:
- Previous clinical experience or internship in orthopaedics
- Basic knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and common orthopaedic conditions
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software
- Basic proficiency in medical imaging interpretations (X-rays, MRIs)
- Knowledge of orthopaedic surgical instruments and procedures
