Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Lead Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our specialized orthopedic team. In this critical role, you will provide advanced clinical care, lead patient management, and collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons to enhance patient outcomes and optimize surgical practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking and physical examinations, to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Assist orthopedic surgeons in surgical procedures, demonstrating proficiency in both pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Supervise and mentor junior Physician Assistants and medical staff, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
- Manage and coordinate patient care activities, ensuring continuity and quality of care throughout the treatment process.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, addressing the needs of diverse patient populations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in orthopedic surgery or a related field, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Advanced training or certification in orthopedic specialties.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and data management.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
