Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear reactor facilities. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing plant performance, and leading a team of dedicated professionals in a fully remote capacity. You will be responsible for implementing operational strategies that enhance safety and productivity, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of nuclear reactor facilities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular assessments of plant performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all nuclear safety regulations and standards.
- Oversee incident investigation processes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally and safely.
- Develop training programs for staff to promote a culture of safety and operational efficiency.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management within the nuclear industry.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and operational protocols.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex operational challenges.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with reactor design and operations, including familiarity with advanced reactor technologies.
- Certification from a recognized nuclear regulatory body.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth understanding of nuclear reactor operations and safety protocols.
- Proficient in using operational data analysis tools to drive performance improvements.
- Familiarity with plant management software and compliance tracking systems.
