Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Assistant Museum Archivist to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Participate in the preservation and conservation efforts of archival materials, including monitoring environmental conditions and implementing preservation strategies
- Engage with the public through tours, workshops, and outreach activities that promote the understanding of archival resources
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures related to archival collections
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, History, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience working in an archival or museum environment
- Familiarity with archival standards and best practices, including metadata standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with digital asset management systems and archival software
- Knowledge of preservation techniques for various types of media
- Proficiency in a foreign language relevant to the collections
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in archival management software (e.g., ArchivesSpace, PastPerfect)
- Experience with digital imaging and preservation tools
- Familiarity with database management and content management systems
