Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Chief Archivist to lead our archival initiatives at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Archival Science, History, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in archival management, including leadership roles
- Demonstrated expertise in archival standards, practices, and technologies
- Strong understanding of digital preservation and access methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Preferred:
- Experience in grant writing and fundraising for archival projects
- Familiarity with current trends in archival science and digital humanities
- Proficiency in archival management software and digital asset management systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of archival standards such as DACS, ISAD(G), and EAD
- Proficient in digital preservation tools like Archivematica or similar
- Experience with databases and digital asset management systems
- Ability to analyze and implement new technologies to enhance archival practices
