Role Overview
As a Principal Microwave Engineer at [$COMPANY_NAME], you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing advanced microwave systems that are critical to our product offerings. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of microwave components and systems, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas for various applications.
- Conduct complex simulations and modeling to analyze microwave performance and optimize designs for efficiency and reliability.
- Oversee the integration of microwave technology into larger systems, ensuring compatibility and performance standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers, to define and deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively identify new opportunities for product development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in microwave engineering, with a proven track record in designing and developing RF/microwave systems.
- Deep understanding of microwave theory, transmission line theory, and electromagnetic principles.
- Experience with industry-standard simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, or CST.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex microwave systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with the design of phased array antennas and advanced RF systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance in microwave engineering.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and manage stakeholders effectively.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in RF/microwave measurement techniques and test equipment.
- Proficient in PCB design and layout for microwave circuits.
- Experience with software-defined radio (SDR) technologies.
- Knowledge of materials and fabrication processes used in microwave components.
