Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Microstrategy Administrator to join our dynamic analytics team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in Microstrategy to architect and administer complex analytics solutions, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be instrumental in enhancing our BI infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of our Microstrategy environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and administration of Microstrategy environments, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Develop and maintain Microstrategy reports, dashboards, and metrics to support business intelligence initiatives across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications for BI solutions.
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies to ensure optimal analytics operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
- Stay current with Microstrategy updates and best practices, implementing new features and enhancements as appropriate.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in Microstrategy administration, with a proven track record of successful implementations.
- Strong understanding of BI concepts, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Experience with SQL and data modeling, including the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based BI solutions and platforms.
- Knowledge of additional BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microstrategy Certified Developer).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in Microstrategy 2020 and above, including architecture, administration, and report development.
- Proficiency in database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Shell).
- Understanding of data visualization best practices and techniques.
