Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Mental Health Technician to join our innovative mental health team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality care to individuals facing mental health challenges, implementing best practices and contributing to an inclusive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of mental health technicians, ensuring adherence to care standards and protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor patients’ progress, adjusting care strategies as necessary.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops to promote mental wellness and recovery.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the treatment team, advocating for patient needs and rights.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a mental health setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Preferred:
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Certification in mental health first aid or related fields.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using telehealth platforms and digital communication tools.
- Experience with data management systems for patient records and reporting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
