Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical facility. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our practice runs efficiently and effectively while providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for managing administrative staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow that enhances patient satisfaction
- Manage and mentor administrative staff, including receptionists and medical assistants, fostering a positive team environment
- Implement and optimize office policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and patient care
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Coordinate patient scheduling, billing, and insurance verification processes to streamline operations
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback, promoting a patient-centered approach
- Maintain accurate medical records and oversee the management of sensitive information
- Prepare budgets, financial reports, and analyze office performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a medical office management role or similar position
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing processes
- Proven ability to manage a team and foster a collaborative work environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and medical software systems
- Experience with EHR and practice management software
- Ability to analyze financial reports and operational metrics
