Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lead Medical Office Assistant to oversee and enhance our medical office operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of administrative professionals, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and efficient office management. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of medical office assistants, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and career growth.
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, manage medical records, and ensure the accuracy of patient information.
- Implement and maintain office procedures to maximize efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Assist in training new staff on office protocols, software systems, and patient care standards.
- Monitor office supply inventory and manage procurement to maintain adequate stock levels.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a medical office environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and office procedures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Medical Office Assistant (CMAA) or similar credential.
- Experience with billing and coding processes within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote patient management systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Advanced knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems, practice management software, and healthcare technology.
- Proficient in data entry, scheduling software, and patient management systems.
