Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical practice. In this role, you will ensure the smooth functioning of the office and provide exceptional support to our healthcare team, all while maintaining compliance with regulations and fostering a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the medical office, including scheduling, billing, and patient communications
- Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA
- Oversee patient registration and scheduling processes to optimize patient flow and satisfaction
- Manage medical billing and coding processes to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication and patient care
- Monitor and manage office budgets, including tracking expenses and financial reporting
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a Medical Office Manager or similar role in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of medical billing and coding practices
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Leadership experience in managing teams and fostering a collaborative environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in medical office software and EHR systems
- Familiarity with medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-10)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
