Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical facility. In this role, you will ensure the efficient functioning of our office, manage staff, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. You will play a critical role in enhancing patient satisfaction and improving operational workflows.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all office operations, ensuring that the facility runs efficiently and effectively
- Manage and supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable laws
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance workflow and improve patient care
- Coordinate patient scheduling, billing, and insurance claims processing to optimize revenue cycles
- Monitor office budgets and expenditures, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
- Act as a liaison between medical staff and patients, addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive patient experience
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee supply inventory to maintain necessary medical supplies and equipment
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a medical office management role or similar position
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field
- Experience in a specialty medical practice or multi-physician setting
- Certification in medical office management or similar credentials
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with EHR software, such as Epic or Cerner
- Proficient in office management software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with medical billing and coding processes
