Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Medical Records to lead our medical records department at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and regulatory inspections related to medical records.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in medical records management or health information management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and state-specific laws governing medical records.
- Proven track record of successfully managing medical records departments and leading teams in a healthcare setting.
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or similar is highly preferred.
Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, including implementation and optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with clinical staff and other departments to facilitate efficient data management practices.
- Experience conducting training sessions and workshops to educate staff on medical records policies and procedures.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of health information management systems and electronic medical records (EMR) software.
