Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Materials Coordinator to join our supply chain team. In this role, you will support the management of materials and inventory, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with various departments to facilitate the timely procurement and distribution of materials needed for production.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and materials availability to ensure production continuity.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to track shipments and manage delivery schedules.
- Support the documentation and reporting of inventory transactions, discrepancies, and material usage.
- Participate in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in materials coordination, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Familiarity with material handling processes and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with inventory management software and databases.
- Basic understanding of data analysis techniques to support decision-making.
