Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Chief Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography to lead our imaging department at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mammography department, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency
- Develop and implement protocols and quality assurance processes to maintain compliance with ACR and FDA standards
- Provide clinical oversight, ensuring all imaging procedures are performed with precision and patient safety is prioritized
- Mentor and train radiologic technologists, fostering professional development and continuous learning
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and imaging outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of imaging equipment, coordinating maintenance and upgrades as necessary
- Engage in research and development initiatives to enhance mammography services and patient experience
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist with a valid ARRT certification in Mammography
- 5+ years of experience in radiologic technology, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of mammography protocols, safety standards, and quality assurance practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Experience with digital mammography and tomosynthesis technologies
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and PACS
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining mammography systems
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and ACR accreditation processes
- Experience with imaging software and technologies such as Hologic, GE, or Siemens systems
