Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Maintenance to lead our maintenance operations at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy that aligns with the company’s operational goals and objectives
- Lead a team of maintenance professionals to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities
- Establish and monitor performance metrics to enhance maintenance processes and reduce downtime
- Oversee the budgeting and resource allocation for maintenance activities, ensuring cost-effective operations
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, conducting regular inspections and audits
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors for maintenance supplies and services
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and methodologies, such as TPM, CMMS, or Lean
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar
- Experience in implementing predictive maintenance technologies and IoT solutions
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo)
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
